About The Protestant Council of Rwanda

The Protestant Council of Rwanda (CPR) is a public and religious based organizations founded by 4 protestant Churches in 1963 and obtained its legal status through the ministerial order No 112/08 of 5th November 1963. As time went on, it grew tremendously to currently count 19 churches and 5 Christian organizations.
This organ coordinates and manages all daily activities of the Council with respect to the constitution, legal and administrative regulations. It also has the mandate to implement decisions made by CPR organs towards achievements of the CPR vision and mission.
This presentation highlights the CPR vision, mission, core values, and organizational structure.

The BNEP has the following main objectives: Identification of human resource needs in CPR member churches Improvement of school operations Strengthening of Christian education in schools Training of competent personnel at all levels of education Support and promotion of craft training, especially for out-of-school youth Development, implementation and monitoring of the education policy of Protestant churches.

In the Bible, diakonia is a Greek word that means “Service and “Ministry”. It refers to the Christian practice of serving others, especially the poor and oppressed.

Evangelism comes from a Greek root meaning “good news.” Looking to the root meaning of the word reminds us that an evangelist is one who brings good news. When we witness to our faith, we are being “evangelists” and bringing the good news of the gospel to others.

It refers to the action of attracting and effectively utilising private capital (and on a smaller scale, some public funds) as additional investments.
